Sleep In Your Car – No Mods, No Money

Roof top tents, ground tents, diy beds, car mattresses…whatever you’re spending your money or time on to sleep at night while overlanding, stop.  I just “discovered” the best (cheapest) way to do this.

Only a few cars I know can do this and you can’t be a giant.  But if you remove your headrest, slide your front seat all the way forward and bend the seat all the way down.  You can make a flat lazy boy-like platform to sleep on.

See photos below.

Here is a list of known vehicles that perform this this awesome feat:

  • My Toyota 4runner (4th gen)
  • Honda Element
  • Honda CRV
  • Scion TC
  • Honda Fit
  • Scion XB (1st gen)
  • Nissan Cube
  • Nissan Pathfinder
  • Mitsubishi Montero

Feel free to help me add to this list.
